Changed cars over, and got stuck with a gutless automatic. Drove on the Lake Te Kapo, which on clear days would be amazing and you are supposed to be able to see Mt. Cook the highest mountain in NZ. Unfortunately I got SNOW instead! Stayed at the local YHA on the waterfront. There's a photo of 3 crazy Brits who camped outside the YHA to save cash.
