Long day of driving as I made it down to Queenstown (Banff with a lake) for lunch and then continued on to Franz Josef. Great road from Qtown to Wanaka climbing up a mountain (photo from the lookout) and then cruising down the other side to save 50 km. Drove past quite a few lakes today, all beautiful, but probably cold as. See how the snow only comes down to a certain elevation, cool hey. Oh yeah and some dude had a bunch of Big foot trucks on his lawn, which you can go for a ride in (worth a photo). And also came across a sheep crossing (see photo).
Had a poor 100th night as Franz Josef has only 2 bars. 5 Hostels though?
