Townsville to MacKay (pronounced MacKye). Rained most of the ride, so I had black hands again (starting to get used to it). Came across a fellow rider who showed me a back road from Seaforth to Mackay, started on gravel, but then it turned into a nice little ride through a farming/ranching community c=6,r=3,t=3,v=7. Stayed at the YHA and met a fellow engineer, Noel (irish), had a couple of beers (but not in the Hostel as it has a NO alcohol policy) and planned to meet up in NZ. Photo from Seaforth.
